Creamy Southwest Chicken
I just put this in the crock pot and it's the 2nd time I've made it so I thought I should share....
I found this pin, it looked yummy and easy. Although, I do love to cook, sometimes I really like a break from it without spending the money on take out. That's where my crock pot comes in! I have done many recipes in the crock pot, most have been great - some have failed. This was A WINNER!! My boys loved it too!
So here it is:
It's frozen chicken covered with corn, black beans, rotel, and cream cheese. You can see the whole recipe at The Larson Lingo. She served hers over rice. I put mine in tortillas for the boys and I ate mine over pasta. I also used frozen corn instead of canned corn which made mine less soupy than hers. It's so good - you should try it!

Cheese sticks!
I found this pin for mozzarella sticks and I knew I needed to try this out. I love simple recipes that I can remember on the fly without looking up the recipe...
Just 2 ingredients, yes, i think even I can remember that!
String Cheese wrapped in
Won ton wrappers.
Easy peasy!
I cut my string cheese sticks in half and wrapped them up. Then I put them in a pan with a little bit of hot canola oil and cooked about 10-20 seconds per side rotating until all sides were golden brown.
Tada!!
So good. So easy. You should try it!

Search
I did a little search (from my iPhone) on the Pinterest app this morning for boards similar to my I found this on Pinterest, and DID it!! board. I was surprised to find several boards. I'm glad there are others who are not just spending hours pinning, but also some time creating.
I'll post about my homemade cheese sticks after I take these boys swimming!

Back to school night treat for the teacher
I found this on eighteen25, while looking at other teacher appreciation gifts.
I pinned it here and knew it would make a good little gift to take to Back to School Night, which is TONIGHT! I did my own take on it, which means I did as close of a replica as I could do with only a few hours and two crazy boys in tow, and while it was not packaged the same - I still think it was a cute idea and my monkey's teacher loved it!He was proud to take a gift to his teacher and we'll do the same thing for his brother tomorrow night!
Here we go...
Well, here I go.
I don't know why I feel like writing a blog would be a good idea, it's not like I have any free time.. with 2 little boys, a fantastic husby, a photography business, and a home to take care of - it's not like there's an abundance of time... not to mention the numerous little addictions I have like Pinterest, crafting, Facebook, Words With Friends, couponing, ok I'll stop there. But who needs sleep anyway, right?! (you'll notice I'll probably almost always blog from my phone)
Ok, so combining a few of my addictions crafting and Pinterest I came up with an idea: I should blog about the things I find on Pinterest and actually complete, because let's face it - the majority of things you pin on pinterest you'll never do. I hope to be an inspiration to you to stop pinning (but only for a minute) and DO some of the things you've found worthy of being on your boards!
You can find me on Pinterest HERE. I've also started a board called "I found this on Pinterest, and DID it!" - these will be my first posts, complete with my finished product or review.
If you don't know what Pinterest is let me try to explain it... it's like having several virtual bulletin boards for ideas (idea boards if you will). You can name your boards anything you'd like and 'pin' ideas from anywhere on the internet or 'repin' ideas from other pinners. For example some of the names of my boards are: Foodie, Crafts, kid activities, baby shower gifts, and several more. When I come across things on the internet that I would like to remember in the future - I pin them. When I first found Pinterest, I absolutely fell in love. For those of you who know me you know that I have a horrible memory. This was a way for me to remember all of the great ideas that get posted to the www everyday!
Ok, I think I've said enough for the first post - I sure don't want to scare you away with a bunch of words and no photos! hehe
I hope you'll check back often!
